I fear that my review will not do justice to this book.  I cannot begin to say enough amazing things about this book.  I lost so much sleep and ignored household chores to read this! When I wasn’t reading I was thinking about it and wondering what was going to happen next.  I even had dreams about it!

This story kept me on my toes.  I read it in a few short days and that was only reading when my kids were asleep. It wasn’t just a great story, but it was amazingly written.  My heart literally raced in anticipation. It was so faced paced.  I was constantly eager to keep reading, barely able to put it down.  It had so much to take it.  I found myself feeling the emotions of the characters.

From the first page I was quickly immersed into a a world full of these characters with such amazing abilities and yet each with a history of heart wrenching losses.  I went through so many deep emotions during my time reading that I often forget these were not real people that I knew.  I cried for them, I laughed with them.  I felt what they felt.  My heart was broken and at times it was filled with joy.  My heart was also shredded with betrayal and hurt and fear.  I was reminded again of fear and the power that comes with conquering that fear.

I cannot wait for the next book. That is one down side to an ARC (advanced readers copy), now I have a long wait for book number 2,  but if it’s even half as good as this one it will be well worth the wait.

This is one of the top 5 books I have read.  It is very very close to being my top fantasy right now.  Right now the top spot is very close.  This one and Caraval series by Stephanie Garber are almost neck and neck, but depending on how the rest of the series go, A Warrior’s Past may pass it, and that not easy to admit to!

Be on the lookout for more reviews on this book from my other Bookclub Besties!

*The Legends of Eve: A Warrior’s Past will be released January 27, 2019. Just a few days past my birthday!  I may have to do a book giveaway in January!
